This work emerges from a moment suspended in stillness—standing on a spiraling staircase, enveloped in a vacuum-like passage where time and direction dissolve. A space without beginning or end. A place of equilibrium between opposites.
Inspired by this threshold state, the piece explores the fluid tension between ascent and descent, interior and exterior, above and below. It reflects on the cyclical nature of experience and the quiet balance found in liminality.
Shifting in appearance under different lighting—violet in fluorescent light, pink in warm light—the glass responds to its environment, embodying the dualities it seeks to mirror and transcend.
