MIYUKI GUO

Biography
Miyuki Guo is a Chinese‑Canadian artist based in London and Shanghai whose work functions as both a visual diary and an ongoing experiment. She is currently pursuing an MA in Ceramics & Glass at the Royal College of Art, following her BFA in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design.
Philosophy
“Who am I? & What am I doing here?”
Her practice is a continuous response to these existential questions, exploring the hidden structures that shape reality and inviting introspection into the universal truths that connect individual and collective experience. She works with glass, ceramics and metal to create environments where materials are encouraged to self-perform—revealing their inherent nature and the chemistry in between.
Recurring forms such as spirals and staircases symbolize movement and transformation—not as repetition, but as continual reinvention. Through experiments with color, form, and spatial relationships, she explores how sharp edges soften into curves, and how broken parts can come together to form something new.
Underlying her work is the belief that all elements are interconnected. Opposites such as positive and negative, chaos and order, are not in conflict but in balance. By creating spaces where meaning unfolds naturally, she invites a shift in perception and a deeper sense of connection.
